Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA)

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist OT in providing center-based and/or in-home occupational therapy services, in the San Gabriel Valley area and foothill communities such as El Monte, Azusa, Pomona, Covina, Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, Walnut, La Puente, Baldwin Park, Monrovia, Santa Anita, Glendora, to name a few. 

 

  • Document and store treatment plans and progress reports

 

  • Update patient progress to relevant parties

 

Research related problems associated with speech therapy

 

 

  • Qualifications

 

  • Valid and current COTA license 

 

  • Some experience is preferred but excellent training will be provided for the right candidate

 

  • Familiarity with communication disorders

 

  • Ability to build rapport with patients, parents and caregivers

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

  • Positive patient demeanor

 

  • Excellent work ethic and a desire to grow
